Little Red Wagon Challenge #376

Hi Everyone!
I hope your 2017 is off to a great start.  This week's challenge is based on goals or resolutions. What goals or Nee Year's resolutions did you make? One of my resolutions is to get back to the gym.  I've had some health issues since mid September and I'm regaining my strength and endurance as I've been walking, building up my distance. As soon as I can shake this nasty cold I'll be back to the gym.
This card is for my sister, she broke her leg back in October and has been in a full cast from pelvis to ankle following her surgery. It was 8 weeks with no weight bearing on her leg! She has just started her therapy and right now they are trying to get her knee to bend again. I have know doubt that she'll rehab quickly but she'll have some frustrations along the way. I hope this card will cheer her up.
Head on over to the Little Red Wagon blog to see what the girlfriends goal are for 2017.  Make it your goal to join us for the challenge. Hope to see you there!

Handmade Christmas 2016

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share with you some things that I made for this Christmas.  I have made for every family member their own Christmas stocking.  I started about 15-16 years ago making stockings for  my immediate family.  Then as spouses joined the family they received a stocking, and 7 years ago when the twins arrived I had to make two.  Well, this year the baby girls arrived - our daughter and daughter in law each had their baby 2 months apart.  I had to make two more stockings!  Well good thing I had my Silhouette Cameo because this Grammy really fancied up and saved a lot of time on these stockings!  Yes, I cut the appliques out on my Silhouette - love, love, love it!  Here are pictures of their completed stockings.

My husband got into the creative spirit as well.  As our family grew, the stockings were overtaking the entertainment center.  So I gave him some ideas/sketches of what I'd like for it to look like and he could go from there.  So this is my stocking pole.  It looks great and held all the "stuffed" stockings too!  It was such a hit that each of  our adult children asked for one for their homes.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #375

Hi Everyone,
Here's our first challenge for 2017 at Little Red Wagon! Jan is our hostess this week.  It's a new year and she wants us to try something new!  Maybe it's a new technique, a new theme or something new for your crafting!  Well, I can do that!  I have a lot of "new" in my crafty room that hasn't been loved and I think it's time to give them some attention - can't have favorites, right?
Well last November, Simon Says Stamp had a card kit that I couldn't resist. When it arrived I was not disappointed! However, going right into the holidays and having some medical issues, it was set aside.  So I pulled out my SSS box and went through all of my goodies again and it was a no-brainer I had to use this kit for this week's challenge.  I also used a new (to me) die from Simon Says Stamp.  I made my first card and then I was on a roll and made several more cards.  I still have supplies to make a couple more cards! Here are a few of my creations from the kit!

Supplies I used to create this card ~
Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Fall Leaves die
