Last Post for 2015

Hi everyone,
Well here it is the last blog post for this year! However, it is my first entry for The Outlawz Challenge.  They have a monthly progressive challenge.  They give you a digi stamp to use, (yes-a freebie!) and you have to incorporate the image into your creation.  Of course I wanted to participate - I love All Dressed Up stamps!  But what was I thinking? It is the holidays and of course I waited to the last minute to complete it! So if you can imagine this, I've had my second eye surgery in the last month and my right eye is patched.  I am determined to get this done before the end of the year.  So I'm on my laptop with a magnifying glass.  What else am I going to do?  I'm already sick of the TV.  I will say this much, I am so grateful to have my vision!

Supplies I used for this card:

All Dressed UP digi stamp Happy Christmas Little Star
American Crafts North Pole 6x6 patterned paper
Spellbinders A2 Fancy Ribbon Threaders die
Memory Box Pinpoint Scalloped Circles die
Wink of Stella, Glitter pen
Ribbon from my stash

Wishing all of you a Happy New Year full of Blessings!

Please leave a comment - it really makes my day!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Well, the big day will soon be here. I know a lot of you are busy with last minute things to do.  This year we truly cut back on our family giving, but were able to bless others and it has been a more peaceful and enjoyable season for my husband and I.  We are so blessed just to get our entire family together, their presence is our present!

Onto this week's challenge, Through the Craft Room Door is being sponsored this week by Decosses Dynamite Doodles.  Lisa has a wonderful selections of digital papers and sentiments. I have never printed my own design paper and I have to say I was quite intimidated. This was so easy to do, you should give it a try!  Here is my card for this weeks challenge!

I have to say that this little girl from All Dressed Up stamps was a lot of fun to color!  She just looks so calm & peaceful.  I just love how delicate she looks, and I thought this snowflake trees patterned paper was perfect for her.

Christmas Blessings

Hi Everyone!

Have you  noticed  this metallic craze?  Gold or silver - it is every where?  I found this paper at Hobby Lobby.  The website challenge at TTCRD this month is 'Shaped Cards...anything but square or rectangle'.  The original sketch that I had for this is nothing close to what it is now.  I wanted to do snowmen, but I've done quite a few recently.  Staring at this gold paper tablet.... well, here it is!

I haven't decided if I will put this into an envelope.
I could also hang it from a gift bag because of the opening on the card.

Using my Scorepal, I scored a folding line on the bottom die.

The supplies I used for this card published in the
January/February issue of TTCRD magazine.

Thank you for looking.
Remember during the hustle and bustle of this Holiday Season -
Jesus is the reason for the season!

Happy Anniversary!

Our dear friends are celebrating their anniversary. Woo-Hoo! Congrats! It was last year that we saw a little video at our church and in a nutshell the message was, "We can celebrate a birthday without doing anything.  Celebrate your anniversaries - that's an effort by two people to commit to their relationship through thick and thin for another year."  Not that it takes a ton of effort but too often we take those relationships for granted.

Happy Anniversary David & Julie!

Tiddly Inks Design Team

Hi everyone!

I am really going out on a limb here! Recently, I saw a video on the Dave Ramsey FB page and they were interviewing Brad Thor. And he explained how after he graduated from college that he went to Paris to become an author.  Once there he began to doubt himself and his dream and shortly returned back to the states. Later he married and while on his honeymoon his wife asked about his dreams. He said he always wanted to publish a book. She encouraged him to write a book and now he's a best selling author of mystery novels! His point was "to live with no regrets". That being said, I have decided to go for the design team call. No guarantees that I would be offered a place on the design team, but if I don't try, I will be guaranteed that I will not make it!

So with that being said, here's my entry for the Tiddly Inks Design Team.

Supplies I used to create this card are:
Tiddly Inks Wryn-Howdy Cowgirl
Sentiment - MFT a la mode Cowgirl at Heart
Hammermill cream cardstock for image and sentiment
The patterned paper and brown cardstock was from my scrap stash
Spellbinders Deckle Rectangle and Stamps of Life Minitags2cut dies
Prismacolor Pencils
jute string and brads

If you have a minute, check out the other entrants!

Thank you everyone for your encouragement!
